Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a busy pharmacy team during a transformative EPMA implementation. The role offers exposure to dispensing, IT systems, and medicines optimisation across wards.

The post welcomes experienced or newly qualified technicians, with opportunities for training and development. Based at Royal Stoke or County Hospital, it supports flexible working within a supportive Trust.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with community pharmacy experience or newly qualified.
• Ability to follow written procedures and work under supervision.
• Strong problem solving, self-motivated and well organised.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets.
• Providing a theatre CD top up and replenishment service.
• Gaining experience in IT Systems including Ascribe, Automated dispensing (RSUH) & Prescription Tracking.
• Maintaining good stock control of medicines.
• Medicines optimisation on wards.
• Supporting and training staff.
