Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Rotational Pharmacist at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This Band 6 role offers the STEP Up Development Programme to progress to Band 7, with a structured rotation across main clinical areas.

You will gain experience in aseptic preparation, parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy and radiopharmaceuticals, and be supported to undertake the Postgraduate Clinical Diploma. Applicants should be committed to patient-centred care and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Pharmacy / M.Pharm.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council or undertaking pre-registration training where registration must be in place before starting the position
• Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in Clinical Pharmacy Services at ward and department level. Work closely with Consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective and efficient use of medicines.
• Provide technical support in the preparation of a broad range of aseptically prepared medicinal products (PN, Cytotoxic Chemotherapy, Radiopharmaceuticals etc).
• Study for, and successfully complete the Postgraduate Clinical Diploma.
