Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a rotational post based in Stevenage. The role covers rotations across acute trusts including Stroke rehabilitation, Acute Assessment, Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Elderly care.

You will join a proactive OT/PT service with strong leadership and peer support, assessing and treating a diverse caseload and contributing to service development. The rotations last 4.5 months to broaden experience.

Qualifications

• Assess and treat own caseload of patients with autonomous practice and supervision as needed.
• Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and communication skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Contribute to service development and work within a supportive OT/PT team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat own caseload of patients and maintain records.
• Undertake comprehensive and standardised assessments of patients.
• Carry out home visits to assess patient function in their own environment.
• Communicate with medical, nursing, social care staff, relatives and carers.
