Job summary

The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work on a rotational basis across acute and community settings in Grimsby. You will contribute to delivering high-quality services across medicine, stroke, frailty, and intermediate care/community settings, with exposure to hand therapy and pediatrics.

• Manage day-to-day caseload with supervision and appraisal.
• Participate in quality assurance processes for work allocation.
• Provide autonomous clinical decisions across physical patient conditions.
• Collaborate with social care staff and nurses.

Job description

The successful applicants will receive formal support from senior staff within the team together with preceptorship in your first year and regular supervision and Appraisal. You will be responsible for the day to day management of your own caseload of patients and participate in quality assurance processes for the allocation of the work. The rotations include community settings and outreach therefore you will be required to be able to travel across the county within your duties. You will have the opportunity to work very closely with social care staff and nurses.As a junior clinician you will hold a standard case load and you will have the ability and support to make clinical evidenced based decisions across a range of physical patient conditions. You will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner, manage and prioritise your case load.

We have an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic band 5 Occupational Therapist to work on a rotational basis across acute and community areas within Grimsby acute and community. Together we aim to deliver high quality services across a range of clinical areas with core rotations lasting for 6 months and currently inclusive of, medicine, stroke, frailty, and intermediate care/community settings. In addition, we offer the opportunity to gain exposure to specialist clinical areas such as hand therapy and pediatrics.
