Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is recruiting for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist rotational role across QMC, City Hospital and NRC sites. The post involves six month rotations in medicine, neuro and MSK, with a preceptorship for newly qualified staff and a pathway to develop broad clinical skills in an acute inpatient setting.

You will need HCPC registration and a flexible, team‑oriented approach, with ability to manage your caseload and contribute to MDT working.

Qualifications

• Dip COT or BSc (Hons) OT with HCPC registration.
• NHS and acute hospital experience is advantageous.
• Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Occupational Therapy assessment & interventions to facilitate discharge and/or support rehabilitation.
• Day to day management of caseload using effective time management and prioritisation.
• Effective communication with patients, carers and staff.
• Contribute to effective OT & MDT working.
• Comply with NUHs policies & procedures.
• Participate in CPD, supervision and appraisal process.
• To comply with the Royal Colleges of Occupational Therapists Professional Standards of Practice, Conduct & Ethics (2026).
