Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Band 5 rotation at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking motivated and proactive Occupational Therapists to gain experience and develop their occupational therapy skills within various specialties, including the acute hospital (elderly care, trauma orthopaedics, acute stroke, surgery, and medical), inpatient general and stroke rehabilitation and community therapy.

Services are delivered over a flexible pattern of working, including weekends.

Main duties of the job
The role will allow the successful candidate to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge in both assessment and rehabilitation, and there are opportunities to work alongside experienced clinicians and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
The Trust is committed to ongoing staff training and development, including a brand new preceptorship programme. You will have regular access to clinical and managerial supervision. Opportunities to participate in service improvement projects are available, and we have a well-established Band 5 peer support group.
