Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim invites motivated students to join the Finance & Controlling team for a 12-month paid internship starting September 2027. Roles rotate across Financial Accounting, Commercial Finance and Manufacturing Finance, offering broad exposure while based at Winnersh head office.

You will analyse financial data, support budgets and forecasts, and contribute to real business projects, working with colleagues across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a Finance/Accounting/Business/Economics/Mathematics degree and completing a placement year.
• A minimum of three A levels at grades BBB minimum.
• The right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.
• The ability to travel independently to the usual place of work and, where required, to other sites.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and willing to learn new systems and digital tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications used for analysing and presenting information.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance function in providing timely, reliable, and relevant financial information to the finance and business stakeholders both locally and at a corporate level.
• Support the system inputs for budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans for local and corporate stakeholder review.
• Support the maintenance of financial systems integrity on an ongoing basis.
• Support the maintenance and accuracy of the relevant sections of the balance sheet & income statement on an ongoing basis.
• Apply technical knowledge and experience to deliver an allocated university intern project.
