A healthcare provider in Milton Keynes is seeking a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist. This role offers Band 6 to 7 progression, allowing newly qualified pharmacists to gain experience in various clinical specialities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about clinical pharmacy and will join a supportive team dedicated to patient care. This opportunity includes contributing to educational training and operational pharmacy services, with flexible working hours.

This role is a compelling career opportunity for a skilled and dedicated pharmacist to join our hardworking, forward-looking, and innovative pharmacy team. It would be ideal for a newly qualified pharmacists looking for an opportunity to develop their career within a hospital setting.
You will join our team in a Band 6 role and following the successful completion of your probationary period you will agree a number of objectives with your line manager and the Pharmacy Education Team which you will need to achieve in order to progress into a Band 7 role; these objectives will include both workplace tasks and self-directed learning with a suitable academic education programme.
You will become part of a growing team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians who support patient care across a wide range of clinical specialties within the Trust. With the support of our Specialist Clinical Pharmacists and our Principal Pharmacists across a range of clinical specialities, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
Our standard working hours now consist of four long days (8 am to 6.30 pm) per week; Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays are worked on a rota basis. After a period of induction and training, you will contribute to the pharmacy out-of-hours service.

Specialist Pharmacists (band7) do not have line management responsibility for any staff. However, all posts with responsibility for managing and supporting staff in operational delivery are expected to lead, motivate, develop and reward staff and are required to comply with the Trust's Policies and Manager's Code of Conduct e.g. in the following areas:
To contribute to the development of training packages for junior staff undertaking rotations; to support the Principal Pharmacists in their roles in training and education.
To contribute to the planning and future development of all aspects pharmacy services at Milton Keynes University Hospital
