Job summary

Pride Veterinary Referral Centre - Derby is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our multidisciplinary referral hospital on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

The role combines two days in imaging with rotating across Neurology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Surgery and Wards, providing advanced nursing care within a specialist referral service.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with RCVS registration is required.
• Experience in referral or advanced-care settings is desirable.
• Willingness to rotate across imaging and specialist disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support anaesthesia, procedures and referral-level diagnostic imaging, including x-ray positioning.
• Carry out diagnostic sampling, laboratory work and patient monitoring (ECG and blood pressure).
• Provide high standards of inpatient care and maintain infection control practices.
• Coordinate with clinicians and nursing teams to schedule procedures and support patient flow.
