Job summary

Blaise Veterinary Referral Hospital in Birmingham is seeking a Rotating Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. You will support the clinical team, assist with patient handling and restraint, and help maintain a safe, clean hospital environment.

A 5-day week with 8-hour shifts and 1 in 4 weekends is planned, with TOIL. We value animal care experience, teamwork, and a compassionate approach.

Qualifications

• Animal handling experience is essential, ideally in a clinical environment.
• Commitment to high standards of patient and client care.
• Willingness to develop within a veterinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical team to deliver high-quality patient and client care across the hospital.
• Assist with patient handling and restraint, maintain clinical areas and equipment.
• Ensure infection control and stock organisation, collaborate with nurses and clinicians.
