Job summary

NHV Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic to join our rotary aircraft maintenance team. You will work under licensed engineers, assisting with aircraft maintenance tasks and preparing for maintenance activity in a safety-critical environment.

The role emphasizes a strong work ethic, teamwork, and the ability to study independently, with on‑the‑job training across multiple aircraft types and alignment to UK CAA/M.O.E. standards.

Qualifications

• Must be minimum 18 years of age.
• Must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
• Must have 4 GCSE’s/National 5’s, including English and Mathematics at grade C or above.
• Satisfactory Disclosure Scotland or DBS certificate.
• IT literacy and basic software skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from supervisors and licensed engineers on site.
• Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Prepare for maintenance activity and reinstate the work area on completion.
• Perform basic line maintenance tasks (refueling, towing, baggage loading) as required.
• Complete aircraft documentation for maintenance work.
• Assist licensed engineers in troubleshooting and task execution.
• Inform stakeholders of maintenance status; ensure compliance with UK CAA and MOE guidance.
