Job summary

Kimpton Charlotte Square, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Rooms Division Manager to lead Front Office, Housekeeping and Concierge teams in Edinburgh. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service and achieving business targets.

You will manage daily operations, rostering, training and recruitment, and drive customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and optimizing service delivery.

Qualifications

• Managed one or more hotel departments in a similar environment.
• Proven track record in training and implementing processes and audits.
• Thorough knowledge of statutory regulations governing hotel operations.
• Strong understanding of service optimization tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Report to Hotel Manager and lead Front Office, Housekeeping and Concierge with focus on guest service.
• Ensure daily operations meet high standards of guest experience and strategic goals.
• Oversee Room Division operations aligned to guest expectations and satisfaction.
• Be accountable for team performance, rostering and departmental profit delivery.
• Act as an active member of Hotel Management and contribute to hotel success.
• Oversee talent development and recruitment strategy across Rooms division.

A fantastic opportunity for a Room Division Manager to join our team at Kimpton Charlotte Square!

We are offering a salary of £50,000.00-55,000.00(depending on experience), and an annual bonus of 15% based on targets.

Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel brings together traditional Edinburgh architecture with an exciting and fresh indoor feel, offering our guests a modern luxurious stay. Welcoming locals to relax in our Garden area (a must visit), experiencing mouth-watering food in BABA restaurant, or guests from far and wide being pampered in our state-of-the-art Spa – we cover it all!

As a Rooms Division Manager, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing) …

• Reporting into our Hotel Manager and leading the Front Office, Housekeeping and Concierge teams with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
• Ensure daily hotel operations deliver high levels of guest service, meeting and exceeding strategic goals.
• Ensure smooth and efficient Room Division operations, aligned with guest expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Be accountable for the overall performance of the teams, including guest experience, workforce planning (rostering), and departmental profit delivery.
• Act as an active member of the Hotel Management Team, contributing to the success of the hotel.
• Oversee development of future talent across Rooms division and recruitment strategy.
