Job summary

Pippa's House Nursery in Guildford is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our team. You will support and supervise playroom staff, promote high standards, and ensure EYFS compliance while inspiring children to explore and learn.

This role offers 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, a generous benefits package including 33 days of annual leave, pension, sick pay from day one, and ongoing training. Regular pay reviews apply to reflect experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents and carers about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
