Job summary

Kindred Nurseries in the United Kingdom is seeking a Room Leader to guide a dedicated early years team and deliver outstanding care and education. You will oversee safe, inclusive environments and model best practice in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.

You will coach practitioners, nurture relationships with families and ensure high standards of observations, records and development planning within your room.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
• Experience in an Early Years setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and education.
• The ability to motivate, support and develop others.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire your room team to deliver outstanding Early Years care and education.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
• Model best practice in line with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements and Kindred’s values.
• Support, coach and develop Early Years Practitioners and Apprentices within your room.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Plan and oversee engaging learning experiences that support every child’s development.
• Maintain accurate observations, assessments and children’s records.
• Support inductions and help new colleagues settle into the Kindred family.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies are followed at all times.
• Work closely with the Nursery Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement across the nursery.
• Demonstrate Kindred’s values in everything you do.
