Job summary

LJ Recruitment Limited is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join a nursery as Room Lead in Tonbridge. You will provide leadership in the assigned room, mentoring staff and working with the Nursery Manager and team to ensure high standards of care and education.

Requirements include EYFS knowledge, safeguarding, and at least two years in a nursery setting. Role involves planning, teaching, and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• Early Years NVQ Level 3 or above or equivalent qualification.
• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 or above or equivalent.
• At least two years experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
• Sound safeguarding and welfare knowledge.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead room leadership, mentoring staff and ensuring smooth day-to-day running.
• Promote high standards of professional practice and safeguarding.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS, supporting development.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and communications with families.

Education
