Nursery: Bright Horizons Southborough Woodlands Preschool

Salary: £27,797 - £33,440 per annum depending on qualifications/experience

We are seeking a full-time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Southborough Woodlands Preschool, located in Southborough near Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, with excellent transport links.

The Preschool offers a 66-place setting for children aged 2 to 5 years. It is situated on the edge of Southborough Woods, next to St Peters Church, with ample parking. The preschool is housed in an old schoolhouse with three large rooms and a spacious garden. Our team has over 100 years of combined early years experience and the setting is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities both indoors and outdoors
  • Deliver and plan enriching learning opportunities to support children's development and milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child's needs
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health, safety, and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment

What we’re looking for

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Effective communication skills with children and adults
