Job summary

Bright Horizons Colchester Day Nursery & Preschool is seeking a Room Leader to guide and develop a team while delivering exceptional care and education for all children in the room. You will model high standards, support staff, and nurture strong partnerships with families.

Applicants should hold a full Level 3+ Early Years qualification, have EYFS knowledge, safeguarding expertise, and a passion for creating inclusive, engaging learning environments in a busy nursery setting.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse or similar.
• Passion for creating inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

• Lead, mentor, support and inspire a team to deliver high‑quality care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety and safeguarding in all activities.
