Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery in the UK. You will oversee day-to-day operations of your room, mentor a team of practitioners and ensure high-quality care and education for children.

We require a Level 3 Early Years qualification and prior Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner experience. The role offers £30,800 per annum plus a welcome bonus and opportunities for leadership development.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential.
• Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner – essential.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development.
• Confident in leading, motivating and supporting a team.
• Experience with planning, observations and developmental assessments.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A passion for creating engaging, play-based learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
• Lead, mentor and support practitioners, encouraging their professional development.
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence and individual development.
• Oversee observations, assessments and children's learning records.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ratios are maintained.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery where children are encouraged to explore, develop confidence and discover new skills through play.

As Room Leader, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, leading and supporting a team of practitioners while ensuring children receive high-quality care and education. What We're Looking For
