Location: A discreet, Georgian townhouse located just off the King’s Road, Sydney House Chelsea is understated but contemporary in style. It gives our team the chance to work in one of the most popular and vibrant areas of London, just a couple of minutes' walk from South Kensington tube station. SERVICE CHARGE-We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel-every penny received is paid out to the team.

Room Attendant – Sydney House Chelsea

Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week Pay: £13.15 per hour

About the Role

Sydney House Chelsea is looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. You will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort and presentation of our bedrooms, hotel windows and public areas, ensuring every guest enjoys a welcoming and comfortable stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard.
• Service both departure rooms and stayover rooms, ensuring all rooms are presented according to hotel standards.
• Clean 12–14 rooms per day, this includes a combination of departure and stayover rooms, while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Change bed linen, replace towels and replenish toiletries and guest amenities as required.
• Clean hotel windows, mirrors and glass surfaces to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
• Maintain the cleanliness of corridors and designated public areas.
• Report maintenance issues, lost property and stock shortages promptly.
• Follow hotel cleaning, hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Work efficiently to complete allocated rooms within the required timeframes.
• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping and reception teams to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests.

What We’re Looking For

• A positive attitude, reliability and good time management.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• The ability to clean 12–14 rooms per day, including stayover and departure rooms, without compromising quality.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential.
