Job summary

Cadogan Estate in Chelsea is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain high standards of housekeeping across our luxury hotel.

The role offers a competitive gross salary up to £36,500 per year (base £26,500 plus a £9,500–£10,000 service charge), enhanced annual leave, meals on duty and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a large 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Confidence and professionalism when interacting with high profile guests.
• Has a strong eye for detail, presentation standards?
• Good spoken command of the English language
• Is happy to work alone but take direction when required
• Manages time and resources effectively.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• To clean and make up all allocated rooms to the standard required
• To attend briefings and training sessions as required
• To be fully aware of health and safety hazards and report any concerns immediately
• To report any missing items from rooms, e.g. bathrobes, soap dishes
• To deal with lost and found guest property promptly and efficiently according to hotel procedure
• To ensure that any maintenance issues are reported promptly and correctly
• To carry out any other cleaning duties as specified by your supervisor
• To report to the supervisor any rooms not requiring service or with DND signs in assigned area
• To assist with the training of new starters as required
• To ensure your designated corridor and pantry area are cleaned before leaving for the day
• To maintain the cleanliness and supply of all allocated areas, including all corridors, storage areas, staff areas, management offices, and ancillary areas, to the standard laid down by the hotel.
