As we continue to deliver exceptional standards across the hotel, we are seeking a dedicated and dependable Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team and play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel behind the scenes.

The Role: Room Attendant

As a valued member of the housekeeping team, the Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort that define the Mercure Haydock Hotel guest experience.

This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach. You will be responsible for cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms and public areas to a high standard, ensuring every space is welcoming, well-presented, and fully prepared for our guests.

Through your commitment to excellence and consistency, you will help create a memorable and enjoyable stay for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene.
Change bed linen, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities in accordance with hotel standards and occupancy requirements.
Ensure rooms are fully prepared and presented prior to guest arrival, maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Report maintenance issues, damages, lost property, and health and safety concerns promptly and accurately to the Housekeeping Manager and/or Duty Manager.
Maintain housekeeping trolleys, storage areas, and cleaning equipment in a clean, organised, and well-stocked condition.
Follow all cleaning schedules, procedures, and hotel standards to ensure consistent delivery of guest satisfaction.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests for additional amenities, linen, towels, or housekeeping services, where appropriate.
Adhere to all health, safety, hygiene, and COSHH procedures, ensuring the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Work collaboratively with housekeeping colleagues and other hotel departments to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel.
Uphold Mercure Haydock Hotel's standards of professionalism, presentation, guest service, and attention to detail at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Room Attendant, Housekeeping Assistant, Cleaner, or in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
