Job summary

We are a 5star luxury lifestyle boutique hotel located in the heart of Chelsea, near Sloane Square. The Room Attendant role is zero-hours, with service charges influencing earnings.

You will clean guest rooms and public areas to exacting standards and assist guests with requests, while enjoying benefits like meals on duty and health and pension plans. Ideal candidates have housekeeping experience in luxury settings, strong English, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably within a large 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Confident and professional when interacting with high profile guests.
• Strong eye for detail and presentation standards.
• Good spoken command of the English language.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• To clean and make up all allocated rooms to the standard required
• To attend briefings and training sessions as required
• To be fully aware of health and safety hazards and report any concerns immediately
• To report any missing items from rooms, e.g. bathrobes, soap dishes
• To deal with lost and found guest property promptly and efficiently according to hotel procedure
• To ensure that any maintenance issues are reported promptly and correctly
• To carry out any other cleaning duties as specified by your supervisor
• To report to the supervisor any rooms not requiring service or with DND signs in assigned area
• To assist with the training of new starters as required
• To ensure your designated corridor and pantry area are cleaned before leaving for the day
• To maintain the cleanliness and supply of all allocated areas, including all corridors, storage areas, staff areas, management offices, and ancillary areas, to the standard laid down by the hotel.

• Competitive hourly rate up to £17.26 per hour, comprising a base rate of £12.26 per hour plus approximately £4.5-£6.00 per hour in service charge, depending on business levels.
