Job summary

Mercure Aberdeen Caledonian is looking for a reliable Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. You will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across guest bedrooms and public areas, ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming, comfortable stay.

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest bedrooms and bathrooms to the hotel's standards.
• Change bed linen and towels, replenish guest amenities, and restock supplies.
• Vacuum, dust, polish, and sanitise guest rooms and public areas as required.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and lost property promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping trolleys and storage areas are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests within required timescales.
