Job summary

RG Setsquare in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Roofing Technician to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across a variety of sites. This hands-on role emphasises safety, workmanship and customer service.

You will diagnose faults, perform roofing repairs, carry out carpentry and joinery tasks, read technical drawings, and maintain accurate records while working with colleagues, contractors and clients on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, systems and repair techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing repairs and maintenance across multiple sites.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi Skilled Roofing Technician to join a growing and well-established property maintenance team. Working across a variety of sites, you will deliver high-quality roofing repairs and maintenance services, ensuring excellent standards of workmanship, safety and customer service.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive roofing maintenance, diagnosing faults, and completing effective repairs across a range of roofing systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing repairs and maintenance works across multiple sites.
• Diagnose roof defects and determine the most effective repair solutions.
• Complete repairs to roofing systems, guttering, fascias and associated structures.
• Undertake basic carpentry and timber repairs where required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Measure roof areas and calculate material requirements accurately.Maintain detailed job records and submit supporting documentation.
• Work closely with colleagues, contractors and clients to ensure works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Requirements

• Proven experience within roofing maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, systems and repair techniques.
• Experience using SIKA roofing products would be highly advantageous.
• Solid carpentry and joinery skills.
• Ability to assess, diagnose and resolve roofing issues independently.
• Good numerical skills with the ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using digital systems to update job records and reports.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
