Job summary

Caval Limited is seeking a Site Manager (Roofing Refurbishment) to oversee a Port Talbot project for 4 to 6 weeks. You will coordinate site activities, supervise subcontractors and ensure adherence to H&S and project design specs.

Key requirements include a valid CSCS Card, First Aid and SMSTS, with a proven track record in roofing refurbishment and strong site performance management. This is a demanding on-site role requiring proactive problem solving and clear client liaison.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, delivering on time and to quality standards.
• Manage site teams, including subcontractors, in a collaborative environment.
• Enforce safety protocols and regular inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, addressing delays to keep on track.
• Act as primary client contact, providing progress updates and ensuring satisfaction.
• Coordinate labour, materials and equipment to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure work meets company and industry standards through inspections and snagging.
• Address on-site challenges promptly to minimise disruption and maintain momentum.
• Monitor budgets and record variations with approvals.
• Maintain site records: daily reports, safety audits and progress updates.
• Liaise with architects/engineers to resolve technical queries.
• Review subcontractor performance and address underperformance.
• Manage project completion and handover, addressing post-handover issues.
