Job summary

Home Group is seeking an experienced Roofer to join our repairs and maintenance team. You will perform high-quality roofing across domestic properties, including pitched and flat roofs, ensuring first-time fixes and compliant work. A van is provided and there is an on-call element with generous pay.

The role covers properties across Colchester, Southend and Chelmsford. You should hold City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in roofing, have a full UK driving licence, and be capable in GRP and

Qualifications

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in roofing.
• Experienced roofer within domestic housing, including pitched and flat roofs.
• Experience in diagnosing and identifying roofing works required.
• Experience in other building trades (multi-skilled) plus GRP and 3-layer torch on felt.
• Flexible approach and good judgement.
• Full current manual driving licence with company van provided.

Responsibilities

• Complete all allocated roofing jobs right first time with a whole-job repair approach.
• Carry out roofing works across repairs, maintenance and refurbishments for pitched and flat roofs.
• Deliver high-quality, compliant work and maintain safety standards.
• Multi-skill to improve first-time fixes and reduce repeat visits.
• Coordinate work locations and schedules for properties across Colchester, Southend and Chelmsford.

What You'll Do

• As multi skilled Roofer, all allocated jobs are completed right first time, with a whole job repair approach, providing a brilliant service for our customers.
• Roofing works across repairs, maintenance and property refurbishments including pitched and flat roofs.
• Delivering high-quality and compliant work.
• Multi skilling to improve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers' homes.
• All jobs are scheduled so you know exactly where you need to be.

You have

• City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in roofing.
• Experienced roofer within domestic housing, including pitched and flat roofs.
• Experience and knowledge of diagnosing and identifying roofing works required.
• Experience in other building trade areas (multi skilled) plus GRP and 3 layer torch on felt.
• A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.
• A full current manual driving licence, will be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.

The practical bits

• Working Monday to Friday, as well as our out of hours service on a rota basis with an additional generous on call payment.
• Working in our properties across Colchester, Southend and Chelmsford
• Must be able to use technology
• You'll need a Basic DBS and health check done which we pay for.
