Job summary

Your Housing Group is seeking a skilled Roofer to join our Repairs and Maintenance division in Preston. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with a starting salary of £32,319 per annum plus van and fuel card, increasing on probation to £33,547.12.

You will repair and maintain roofs across our housing stock, ensuring quality, safety and customer satisfaction. Candidates will have construction or housing maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence, and knowledge of slate, tile, and lead

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or housing maintenance.
• A full UK Driving Licence (ideally no more than 6 points).
• Ability to repair slate, tile, stone, ridge, verge and lead work; EDPM rubber/flat roof experience desirable.
• Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing maintenance on major and minor works for Your Housing Group homes.
• Ensure work is completed to high standards of quality, productivity and safety.
• Collaborate with the Repairs and Maintenance team to deliver a bespoke service.
• Travel within the regional Preston area and attend meetings/training as needed.
