Job summary

A2Dominion Group, via Pyramid Plus with Mears Property Services, seeks a roofing operative in the Ealing area. The role covers general roofing repairs across occupied and tenanted properties, with a 42.5 hour week and salary up to £38,202 per year, plus a company van and fuel card.

Key tasks include replacing roof tiles, felt, and battens; chimney repairs; flat roof works; lead flashings and guttering; and ensuring work meets health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• General roofing repairs across occupied and tenanted properties
• Replacement of roof tiles, felt roofing, and wooden battens
• Chimney repairs and replacements
• Flat roof installation and repair (felt and asphalt)
• Lead work including flashings, soakers, and valley gutters
• Repair and installation of ridge, verge and hip tiles
• Guttering and downpipe repairs and replacements
• Fascia, soffit and barge board installation and maintenance
• Roof insulation works to joists and rafters
• Ventilation and ducting installation and repair
• Emergency callouts for storm damage or leaks
• Liaising with tenants and site supervisors to minimise disruption

Serving over 23,500 homes, we complete more than 38,000 repairs, 1,000 void refurbishments, and install 600 kitchens and bathrooms each year. Role Criteria

• General roofing repairs across occupied and Tenanted properties
• Replacement of roof tiles, felt roofing, and wooden battens
• Chimney repairs and replacements
• Installation and repair of flat roofs, including felt and asphalt systems
• Lead work including flashings, soakers, and valley gutters
• Repair and installation of ridge tiles, verge tiles, and hip tiles
• Guttering and downpipe repairs and replacements
• Fascia, soffit, and barge board installation and maintenance
• Roof insulation works to joists and rafters
• Installation and repair of roof vents, eaves ventilation, and ducting
• Repairs to rooflights and skylights
• Emergency callouts to make properties safe following storm damage or leaks
• Identification of defects and recommendation of remedial actions
• Working with reclaimed roofing materials where appropriate
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
• Accurate recording of materials used and time spent on jobs
• Liaising with tenants and site supervisors to ensure clear communication and minimal disruption
• Supporting planned maintenance programmes and refurbishment projects
• Ensuring compliance with the Decent Homes Standard and other regulatory requirements
• UK full driving license
