Job summary

Sovereign Network Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Roofing operative to carry out repairs and maintenance on our homes and other sites. You will be fully competent in pitched roofing, lead valleys, flashings, gutters, and roof coverings while working in occupied premises.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with potential for overtime and call-out. A full UK driving licence (minimum 1 year) and ability to drive a van are required, and you should be comfortable using mobile tech

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or 5 years trade experience.
• Experience working in occupied premises.
• Ability to use mobile technology (iPad/PDA).
• Strong health and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Complete roofing repairs and maintenance packages for SNG's homes and elsewhere as required.
• Be fully competent in pitched roofing including lead valleys, flashings, box gutters and full roof coverings.
• Install and replace guttering and maintain roof line integrity.
• Collaborate with team and deliver customer-focused service.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll complete Roofing repairs and maintenance packages to SNG's homes and elsewhere as per requirements and be fully competent in all aspects of roofing including:

• Pitched roofing systems
• Lead valleys
• Flashings
• Box Gutters
• Full roof covering renewal
• Install and replace guttering

What you'll need:

• You should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 in Roofing or equivalent OR a minimum of 5 years trade experience. You will have experience of working in occupied premises and be able to demonstrate good customer service skills. The ability to use mobile technology such as iPad or PDA is essential.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime when required.

Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years driving experience and have the ability to drive a company van.
