Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Roofer to perform maintenance and repairs on domestic and commercial properties across our Aberdeenshire contract. You will complete a range of roofing tasks safely and to a high standard of workmanship within the maintenance team.

Key requirements include City & Guilds Roofing, substantial roofing experience on both domestic and commercial properties, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Substantial practical roofing experience including maintenance and repairs.
• Good knowledge of flat and pitched roofs, guttering and harling repairs.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• On-call rota 1 in 8 weeks.
• Repair guttering and rainwater drainage components.
• Complete cement work and harling repairs.
• Assess roofing defects and identify repair solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Roofer to carry out planned maintenance and responsive repairs to domestic and commercial properties across our Aberdeenshire contract.

You’ll complete a variety of roofing repairs, working safely and delivering a high standard of workmanship alongside the wider maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to flat and pitched roofs.
• On-call rota 1 in 8 weeks
• Repair guttering and associated rainwater drainage components.
• Complete cement work and harling repairs.
• Assess roofing defects and identify suitable repair solutions.
• Complete planned and responsive maintenance within agreed timescales.
• Follow company procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices, particularly when working at height.
• Use authorised tools, plant and access equipment safely and within your training.
• Complete accurate timesheets, job records and other required documentation.
• Keep work areas safe and tidy, communicating professionally with residents, clients and colleagues.

What You’ll Bring

• City & Guilds qualification in Roofing.
• Substantial practical roofing experience, including maintenance and repairs.
• Experience working on domestic and commercial properties.
• Practical knowledge of flat and pitched roofs, guttering, cement work and harling repairs.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full driving licence.
