Job Title: Rolling Stock Technician

Location: Aberdeen

Contract Type: Temporary (4 Months)

Working Hours: Nights (4 on: 4 off)

Pay Rate: Negotiable DOE

Job Description

Join a major UK Rail company supporting fleet maintenance activities.

Ganymede Solutions is partnering with a leading Rail Company to recruit experienced Rolling Stock Technicians to support planned, preventative maintenance on fleets in operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the maintenance and operation of modern passenger fleets.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and exams
• Follow technical guidance (VMI, exam timing, etc.) ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair rolling stock, along with documentation support on depot
• Complete documentation required for exams
• Support colleagues with servicing, fueling, cleaning, etc.

Candidate Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in engineering or related trades
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the rolling stock industry
• Ability to follow modification instructions and technical drawings
• Experience in conducting exams, fault finding, and repairs on modern passenger rolling stock systems
• Ability to pass Medical and Drugs & Alcohol tests
• Right to Work documentation for pre-employment compliance
• Flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic
