Job summary

Transport for Wales is recruiting for a rolling stock maintenance technician in Wales. You will carry out maintenance of Bi-Mode, Tri-Mode, Diesel multiple units, rolling stock, Locomotives & tram-trains in line with Vehicle Maintenance Instructions and safety procedures, to improve reliability and availability targets.

Qualifications

• Understand hazards and consequences of defective rolling stock systems.
• Indentured and recognised Engineering apprenticeship.
• Understand and implement engineering maintenance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all duties are carried out safely with the use of PPE adhering to safety policies and procedures, liaising with all other team members, Team leaders and management.
• Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction.
• Carry out work as allocated by the Team Leader / manager within set timescales and to the recognised standards.
• Use PPE in accordance with Rule book, FSP's and local instructions.
