Job summary

Transport for Wales is seeking a skilled craftsman to support the mobile team, attending failed trains and ensuring safety, productivity, availability and reliability targets are met at all times. You will lead the outstation team, directing preparations and repairs on Traction and Rolling Stock per local instructions.

• 5 years craft experience.
• Experience of managing resources/Staff.

Responsibilities

• Attending failed trains and ensuring safety, productivity, availability and reliability targets are met by the mobile team.
• To carry out all duties according to Safety and Quality Procedures.
• Allocate and control the outstation team under your leadership and direct them in unit preparations and repairs on Traction and Rolling Stock per DMS, VMI or Local Instructions.
• Develop and motivate staff under your leadership to achieve targets set.
• Undertake duties of Skilled Tradesman where qualified.
