Job summary

Ford & Stanley Select in Leeds is seeking an Installation Supervisor to lead installation activities on the workshop floor within a major rolling stock upgrade programme. This hands-on role acts as the link between technicians and management, coordinating daily work and ensuring operations meet safety, quality and schedule targets.

You will develop leadership and planning skills while delivering project milestones in a high-profile rail modernization project.

Qualifications

• Fitter/rolling stock background with hands-on leadership responsibilities.
• Experience supervising installation, modification or upgrade projects.
• Frontline supervisory/lead technician experience and ability to direct workshop activities.

Responsibilities

• Allocate daily workloads to technicians on the workshop floor.
• Coordinate installation activities across the project team.
• Support installation and modification activities when required, ensuring drawings are followed.
• Identify and escalate material shortages or technical issues.
• Provide frontline leadership and guidance to the installation team.
• Assist with risk assessments and safe systems of work.
