Job summary

Rullion is seeking engineers to join the Overhaul team at Manchester Train Care Centre. You will service, maintain and repair EMU rolling stock, following Vehicle Maintenance Instructions, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Role requires practical mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a qualification in electrical or electronic engineering. On-site support and welfare are top priorities for Rullion throughout the project.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification such as HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• NVQ 3 Electrical Engineering will be considered, based on experience.
• Experience with rolling stock or locomotives preferred; aerospace or military engineering considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Overhaul team for fault finding and repair.
• Assist with data downloads and testing of train systems post overhauls.
• Carry out static and dynamic tests and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Support with documentation and data entry into IT systems as required.
• Mentor others and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
