Job summary

Brooks Automation US LLC is seeking a skilled Robot Repair Technician to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on complex semiconductor equipment in a workshop setting. You will lead repair projects, implement preventive maintenance, and ensure top priorities in safety and quality are met.

The role requires 5+ years in repair/technical work, strong diagnostic knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced Technical Certification or Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a repair or technical role, with extensive experience handling complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Expert knowledge of repair tools, equipment, and advanced diagnostic techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience with process improvement and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior technicians.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Dexterity to handle small parts and precision tools with expertise.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Expert diagnostic and repair of complex equipment.
  • Lead repair projects from initial diagnosis to testing and quality control.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee the quality assurance process for repairs.
  • Maintain detailed repair records and report trends to management.
  • Serve as primary contact for high‑priority or complex customer repairs.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians and assist in training materials.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of repair processes and tools.
  • Manage inventory levels for repair parts and equipment.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and mitigate risks.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and company-specific applications.
