A national postal service based in Bristol is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining automation assets to ensure their availability and performance. This role requires flexibility across various shifts and includes performing preventative maintenance, executing continuous improvement activities, and supporting engineering management. Ideal candidates will possess a qualification in electrical and mechanical engineering and demonstrate strong communication skills. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Automation Maintenance Technician
Bristol Mail Centre, Gloucester Road North, Filton, Bristol, BS34 7ST site.
£53,195 per annum, plus night shift allowance, 22.5 days annual leave with bank holidays and a defined contribution pension scheme.
Weekend supplement for Saturday (Â53.14 per attendance) and Sunday (Â106.28 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable.
Shift attendance equates to 40 hours per week (excluding meal breaks) – working 12 hour shifts (7am – 7pm & 7pm – 7am).
Weekend working will be required as part of the rota.
Royal Mail is engaged in one of the biggest technological changes in its history, transitioning to a predominantly mechanised parcel sortation process. This role will cover early, late and night shifts and includes maintaining automation assets to ensure their availability and performance. The role will include flexibility to meet 24/7 operational needs and occasional overtime coverage.
