Job Opportunity: Robot Welder

Our Banbridge based client has an opportunity for an experienced Robot Welder to join a leading company in the UK's Building Services sector. The company specializes in off-site prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building solutions across the UK & Europe.

Job Summary

This role involves welding a variety of pipe arrangements fabricated by your team, using GMAW welding techniques. Opportunities for skill development in the client's in-house welding procedures are available.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Follow directions from the Site Supervisor to meet work requirements and ensure timely welding and production targets.
• Read and understand project drawings thoroughly.
• Weld pipe sets of various diameters (typically 125mm - 500mm carbon steel) from shop drawings.
• Adhere to Company H&S policies and procedures.
• Possess at least 3 years' experience programming, setting, and operating a Robot Welding Machine in an engineering environment.
• Have at least 3 years' experience as an established welder, including GMAW welding.
• Have in-depth knowledge of weld defects and troubleshooting techniques.
• Interpret welding procedure requirements accurately.
• Use shop floor hand tools such as grinders confidently.
• Understand and interpret shopfloor drawings effectively.

Desired Criteria

• Experience as a welder producing various pipe arrangements using TIG or MAG welding methods.
• Background in heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork, or similar welding environments.
