Job summary

Eton College is seeking a Roaming Cleaner to maintain a welcoming and homely environment across the campus, including classrooms, bedrooms, offices and communal areas. You will work across different areas as needed, with duties including cleaning, laundry coordination, and basic upkeep.

The ideal candidate takes pride in detail, has prior cleaning or housekeeping experience, supports safeguarding and health and safety, and can work flexible hours, sometimes unsupervised, within a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or similar role preferred.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely and follow COSHH regulations.
• Safeguarding training and awareness of working with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated spaces in line with SLAs and expectations.
• Clean classrooms, offices, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas.
• Move small furniture and assist with linen and laundry tasks.
• Answer the door when required and liaise with Cleaning Supervisor.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment; training provided.
• Perform cyclical cleaning during holidays as needed.
• Adhere to COSHH, health and safety, and security policies.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
