Job summary

Moray Council is seeking a hands-on team player to assist in the maintenance and construction of roads and footways. The role involves signing and guarding works, drainage and kerbing tasks, and operating power tools as part of a busy outdoor team.

A valid driving licence is required, with readiness to work toward an LGV licence and participate in seasonal rota and overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of outdoor manual work.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• Current driving licence and willingness to progress LGV.
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and construction of roads and footways.
• Signing and guarding of works.
• Drainage, kerbing and coating of materials as required.
• Operation of power tools and use of plant.
• Participate in Winter Service and respond to emergencies.
