Job summary

Moray Council is seeking a hands-on team player to assist in the maintenance and construction of roads and footways. The role involves signing and guarding works, drainage and kerbing tasks, and operating power tools as part of a busy outdoor team.

A valid driving licence is required, with readiness to work toward an LGV licence and participate in seasonal rota and overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of outdoor manual work.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• Current driving licence and willingness to progress LGV.
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to weather conditions.

Current Driving Licence

Prepared to work towards acquiring an LGV licence

Satisfy DVLA criteria to obtain LGV licence

Must be able to keep basic records

Willing to work outside in all weather

Flexible attitude and ability to work as a member of a team

This job requires a high level of applied physical effort.

Must be willing to participate in the Winter and Summer Out of Hours Rota

Must be prepared to work overtime as required

£14.27 to £15.54 per hour *
