RAC Motoring Services is seeking a skilled Roadside Vehicle Mechanic to join the Warrington cluster. You’ll deliver expert roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing at your home driveway.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience, you’ll earn a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000, plus a van, fuel card, uniform and tools to keep you on the

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician Join the team that keeps the UK moving. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience, you'll receive: A market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £60,000, with top-performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates. Start and finish on your driveway. Demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.

Where you'll work

You'll be part of the Warrington cluster, covering areas like Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Newton-le-Willows, Leigh, Golborne, Ashton-in-Makerfield. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.

What you'll need

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it's a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault-finding, you'll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most. You'll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside - combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service.
