Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician in the Warrington area with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years of roadside experience. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and emergency breakdown support, starting and finishing from your home base while serving members in your local area.

You’ll have your own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit, with a strong focus on safety and customer service on every call-out.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home, providing quick, confident solutions.

Join the team that keeps the UK moving. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience, you'll receive:

• A market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £60,000, with top-performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
• Start and finish on your driveway.
• Demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.

Where you'll work

You'll be part of the Warrington cluster, covering areas like Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Newton-le-Willows, Leigh, Golborne, Ashton-in-Makerfield. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
