Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll operate in the local cluster, starting and finishing at home while helping members get back on the road.

You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, 5+ years as a Technician, and a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle challenges head-on and provide quick, confident solutions to members on the roadside.
• Start and end your day at home, operating in your local cluster and visiting members.
• Utilise RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit provided from day one.

• A marketcompetitivebase salary of £42,921.87, (Inclusive of night allowance) complimented by an average OTE ranging from £43,000 to £53,000.

Where you’ll work

You’ll be part of the Harlow cluster, covering areas like Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Waltham Abbey, Epping, Hoddesdon. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.

What you’ll need...

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

We’ll set you up for success from day one, with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.
