Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnose faults and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK, helping members get back on the road quickly.

You’ll start and finish at home and travel to local calls within your area. From day one you’ll have your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit, with a structured development pathway and opportunities to progress to

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

• A marketcompetitivebase salary of £42,921.87, (Inclusive of night allowance) complimented by an average OTE ranging from £43,000 to £53,000.

Where you’ll work

You’ll be part of the Harlow cluster, covering areas like Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Waltham Abbey, Epping, Hoddesdon. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area.

What you’ll need...

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
