Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a Roadside Technician for Green Flag Patrol covering Bromley/Orpington. You will diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, tyre changes and battery tests, and assist customers to get back on the road quickly.

The role offers £40,800 base salary with a bonus up to £4,530, plus a generous pension, private medical insurance, 200 hours of holidays, and various Aviva benefits. Daytime shifts only, 4-day week, no night shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background with diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Category B driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) preferred.
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
• Commitment to safe working practices.
• The ability to work independently and make decisions confidently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

A bit about the job

As a Roadside Technician, you'll be the first point of contact for customers who have broken down, providing expert assistance and excellent customer service.

Skills and Experience We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

• A strong mechanical background with good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A full UK Category B driving licence
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) preferred, although relevant hands-on experience or apprenticeship experience will also be considered
• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques
• A commitment to safe working practices
• The ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A calm and professional approach when helping customers
