Qualifications

• Level 3-qualified Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technician (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience within a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points or bans.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems including engine and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

Role Overview

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Requirements

• Level 3‑qualified Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technician (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent); Level 2 qualification considered if you can demonstrate equivalent skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience within a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
• A full UK driving licence – no more than 9 points or bans on the licence.
• Demonstrated technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
