Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of complex projects within a multi-disciplinary environment. You will own outcomes, coordinate client teams, manage risks and budgets, and ensure milestones are met with the right quality.

You will collaborate across internal and external teams, act as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentor junior staff while championing health, safety and sustainability in all project decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of project management at practitioner level across multiple projects with complex reporting structures.
• Proven experience in managing both project delivery and commercial performance, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Experience leading or working as part of a high performing team with ability to influence and motivate others.
• Experience in public and/or private sector environments delivering complex programmes.
• Understanding and practical experience of delivering projects within a structured project control process.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership for the successful delivery of projects/programmes, leading the team and communicating with all parties.
• Building strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and acting as a trusted advisor.
• Working with and coordinating other WSP teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Managing supply chain suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Optimising resource balance and ensuring deliverables and milestones are met on time and to quality.
• Monitoring and reporting project finances to the client and internally.
