Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic in the United Kingdom. You’ll start and finish from your driveway, handling breakdowns and delivering quick, friendly service to motorists across diverse locations.

Expect roughly 40 hours per week with flexible shifts. Applicants should have NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a full category B licence (6 points max), and comfort adopting new technology to assist in roadside repairs.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification with experience.
• Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Starting and finishing on your driveway, paid from the moment you get in your van.
• Work independently across varied locations and conditions while being part of a team.
• Use technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Resolve roadside issues on the spot with a calm, solution-focused approach.
