Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join its UK-wide roadside assistance team. You will work primarily from your van, starting from your driveway and finishing at home, earning a guaranteed first-year salary with location allowance and top performance-based OTE.

You’ll operate independently across varied locations, handling roadside scenarios with technical skill and clear customer communication.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent with experience
• Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology with provided tools
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

Responsibilities

• Starting and finishing on your driveway, paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home.
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions while being part of a supportive team.
• Using technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Solving problems on the spot using technical skills and a calm approach to roadside situations

Education
